Meet Our Team
As President and Owner of Family Focus Financial Group, Kathleen A. Nolan, is committed to listening first, then guiding her clients in a collaborative effort to achieve stability, managed growth, independence and a financial plan that matches important family values.
A long time veteran of the financial industry since 1975, Kathy’s career has spanned many areas of finance including Institutional Trading, Registered Options Principal, Retail Broker, as well as licensed Life and Health Insurance agent. She has held a Series 4, Series 6, Series 7, Series 63 and a LUTCF insurance designation. Today, Kathy maintains her insurance practice and the fiduciary standard of Investment Advisor representative, a series 65 licensed registration, with AE Wealth Management, an SEC Registered Investment Advisory firm.
Kathleen Nolan adheres to a strict fiduciary standard in her role as a Relationship Director for Clients of Global Financial Private Capital in her care. She recognizes that in today’s investment world, a team approach is the best way to help people protect and grow their life savings and has the ultimate respect for the years of hard work it takes to acquire one’s wealth. Kathy’s holistic approach also encourages partnering with other professionals such as Attorney’s and CPA’s in coordinating the best solutions to Estate and Tax planning issues.
Kathy is especially passionate about empowering women to become engaged in their financial lives and has created the Savvy Women Series of classes and group discussions which has graduated over 100 women of all ages and positions. She is also actively involved in her community and on the Board of Directors and Fundraising Chair for CASA of Ocean County a 501c3 charitable organizations.
When not serving her Clients, Kathy celebrates life with her husband of 37 years, two sons, two amazing grandchildren and several close friends. She is a published writer and enjoys travel, dancing and the beach. Contact Kathy here.

Sean Nolan, Vice President, CFO
As Vice President, CFO, and C0-Owner of Family Focus Financial Group, Sean is responsible for the company’s overall management. A 2005 graduate of the Savannah College of Art and Design, Sean uses concept development and his attention to detail to optimize business operations and marketing. Sean joined the world of small business ownership in 2007 after becoming a licensed Life and Health Insurance producer in the State of New Jersey.
Sean also provides Clients with another professional to assist with their financial needs – often lending another outlook with innovative ideas and proven concepts. Our Clients take comfort in knowing that Sean is Kathy’s succession plan and is there for them and their families when needed. Sean realizes that one financial professional cannot cover all the bases and managing a Client’s wealth is a team effort.
To quote Sean, “Just like a painting with all of its preparation and planning steps, a Client’s financial picture can not be achieved until everything is addressed. It is crucial to know which steps come before the others to ensure that an overall lasting picture can be completed.”

Richard Feola, Financial Advisor
Rich joined the Family Focus Financial Group team in 2015 as a Financial Advisor and Relationship Director. When he graduated from college, it was at the same time as the Great Recession of 2008. At that time, Rich’s grandfather was a retired entrepreneur who unfortunately lost a significant portion of his nest egg. The stress this put on his grandfather empowered him to enter the industry and help his clients protect and preserve their hard-earned principal investment. Rich has prior experience working with one of the largest financial firms.
“A team like Family Focus is hard to find. So many of the large brokerage houses and banks see their clients as numbers on a page, and do not put their interests at the forefront. A true fiduciary always discloses all fees and conflicts of interest, but brokers at large firms are not required to do so. At Family Focus Financial Group, their clients are truly part of the ‘family’, and that ethical foundation of trust truly makes all the difference to me. Many clients may not realize how special Family Focus is, and how hard it is to find an advisory team like ours. At Family Focus Financial Group, Rich is responsible for welcoming new clients to the family and developing unique retirement strategies for each particular situation. He recognizes that there is not a one-size-fits-all approach that works for everyone. Each client has different goals, objectives, and circumstances. Rich is committed to developing both a custom strategy and close relationship with each client. He believes maintaining a relationship with our clients will ensure their strategy is always on course to reach their goals.
Rich has held his Series 7 license in the past, but now maintains his Series 66 fiduciary license, and is licensed for Life & Health insurance in various states. He also educates individuals through financial planning courses at Monmouth University and Georgian Court. In his free time, he participates and volunteers at his church community. He enjoys living in Monmouth County with his family and his interests include reading, playing guitar, writing music, and volunteering with charitable organizations and religious establishments. Ashley Christen, Executive Assistant, Director of Client Services
Ashley is a key member of the Family Focus Financial Group team. In addition to her role as executive assistant, she is also responsible for maintaining our pledge for excellent client service. Ashley is a licensed life insurance agent in the state of New Jersey and is knowledgeable about many phases of the financial planning process.
Ashley is very passionate about empowering women of all ages to become confident and knowledgeable about their own personal finances and has been instrumental in developing an educational program designed specifically for women. Contact Ashley here.
Kelly Meyerhoff, Director of Marketing
Kelly joined the Family Focus Financial Group team in 2015 as the Director of Marketing. A recent graduate of Rutgers University, Kelly lends a fresh approach to promotions, event coordination, and client engagement. Her previous work in both nonprofit and small business settings have helped her to realize her passion for making a positive impact on the lives of others. Kelly sees the value and importance of developing close relationships with each client. She believes it is not only essential to help educate our clients, but also to become educated about them.
As the hospitality ambassador, Kelly is your first point of contact at Family Focus Financial Group. She is committed to making all of our guests feel at home and ensure they benefit from their time with us. She also engages current clients and guests through various promotional strategies, events, social media outlets, newsletters, and workshops. Kelly strives to optimize the way Family Focus Financial group communicates and engages with guests and clients.
